The First-Ever Episode of Temperate Times
Temperate Times started with JC and Cole, an idea that seemed way too complex to act on. Although, JC decided that this would not only change their lives but change others. Cole and JC both had a tolerance to hot sauce, so they went with the theme of spiciness along with the sense of chill.

JC, the Ginger
Born in Ontario, JC had lived most of his life in the city. After moving to the Maritimes, JC had made connections that would impact his future. Meeting Cole at the start of his career, they had started something huge. The name Temperate Times has an interesting origin. JC had been taking english class in grade 12, when he had read Sonnet 18 from Shakespeare. “Thou art more lovely and more temperate”. Inspired, JC utilised the tool of alliteration and created the name ‘Temperate Times’. Ironically, the podcast videos were always intended to be chaotic. JC’s love for spice had started the entire theme for season 1 of the podcast, starting something that would make JC even more inspired to try new things.

Cole, the Hot Sauce Legend
Cole is one of the founders of the Temperate Times podcast. He is the oldest, but definitely not the most mature. Cole also has the highest spice tolerance and holds a tradition for every hot sauce video; adding a massive dab to the last wing and eating it whole. Unfortunately, JC will no longer be living close to Cole, therefore limiting Cole’s spicy experiences. Although, Cole will still be known as the hot sauce legend.
